Though I hate to praise you...

Well Corey I'd say youve outdone yourself if not for the solos you have created during practice. Speaking of which why don't you record some of them as well. From your band member. You can probably guess which one. Tong Attack!

MusicMyOxygen responds:

Ok.. As I said before though this account will likely be a host to my classical ventures, rather than others. Thank you for your opinion.

Amazing

I continually find myself listening to more and more classical music. Songs like this are why.

You create something like this when you are simply bored? I cant imagine what you might create because you were inspired. You make it seem so easy to create brilliant music. Anyhow, I like the story you have to go along with it, the music really tells it well. I mean I had the message of sadness and yearning down but that, that really explains the piece. I also enjoyed the bass that accompianied the piano, now that I've heard it i can't imagine the song without it.

It is an amazing song. 10/10

BlazingDragon responds:

I find lost myself in a perpetual state of boredom lately. The only way to keep my sanity is through writing music, really. So in a way, my boredom is what creates inspirational. :P

Honestly, this song reflects the way I've been feeling lately. I have a huge yearning to travel and get out of the smallish town where I live. I feel so caged in here and want to move on to bigger things. And yet I'm stuck here for the time being, at least until I graduate high school. I want that "Unattainable Freedom", XD! I'm really glad you enjoyed the story! It was based on a review I got for this song, so the idea isn't completely mine. When I'm not composing, though, I like to write. :)

When I first wrote this it was going to be solo piano. When I listened to it, though, it just felt empty. I added the strings and bass, which I feel made a huge difference.

Thanks for the awesome review!

Not Bad For An Ambient Song

Look, ambient/trance/techno/electronic or any combination of them has never really been my thing. No offense to any who enjoy that music, but I am a rock addict at heart. However, this, this is not bad. With this song you have shown me not all of the many ambient/trance/techno/electronic songs that fill newground's airwaves are not as bad as I thought they were.

Twistedtechnology responds:

Well, coming from a die-hard rock fan I really appreciate your kind words!! I enjoy me some nice hard rock/heavy metal myself, so I can ,for the most part, understand why you generally dont like the electronic genre of music.

Which makes me appreciate your comment all the more XD

Im glad i could show you the better side of most ambient tracks here on NG!

Thanks a lot for your review!

Great Song

Obviously as you have said the recording quality isn't that great, and I am not one to harp on that as the our band's recording quality is probably considerably worse (and we dont even have a song with Morals's recording quality out yet).

However you all are still great musicians, as you have proven. I also believe that this song is still great in its own right, it is catchy and well done, you just may want to re-record it if you get a chance.

I don't really have any critiques, so keep rocking, and I look forward to seeing more of this bands work in the future.

MathcoreMathcore responds:

Thanks a lot for considering the quality in your score, and thanks for actually reading the Authors Comments haha.

I will definitely check out your bands stuff.

Delightfully Strange

Never in my life did I think I'd hear a flute and an electric guitar together, much less that it would sound so good. Somehow though, you managed to achieve what I never thought possible. You managed to make it blend in a way that I couldn't picure this song without the flute, or any of the other diverse elements in it.

Somehow some people said the flute was "annoying" and dont like it, but dont listen to them. I think that it is the diversity of instruments and sounds used that help make this song so unique and overall awesome.

One great theme song you got for yourself, nice work.

CyriltheWolf responds:

Why thank you sir! :D I reallly appreciate reviews like this one. :D

Still as amazing as the first time I heard it.

First of all, I would like to say thank you for the advice you have given me on a previous review. An artist like you taking the time to sit and write that blew me away. I am planning on trying to buy something like what you said, though it may be a while, hear the work we put on here and you'll understand why new recording stuff is on the top of my list.

Anyhow, I am writing this review to say one thing: stop comparing this to stuff! My fellow reviewers, I know comparing music to other well known music is a good ay to understand what it sounds like, but after a while it just gets old. Furthermore it is my strong opinion that this is a work all its own, despite how people relate it to other stuff.

I have been telling nearly everyone I know how awesome this music is, so keep on playing.

p.s. from a Green Day fan: Green Day is good, this is better.

General Rock?

Look, these days I'm not even sure what rock is, as it takes so many shapes. And further, I couldn't care less if this was rock. It is brilliant no matter what genre people pin it as, and people need to say that rather than what genre they think it should be under. These are REVIEWS, not genre opinions, okay?

Anyhow, your voice is truly beautiful, and that is all that matters. I deosnt matter what kind of band you find, they could be monkeys banging sticks together for all I care! The emotion you manage to convey through your voice is brilliant, the lyrics are amazing. Keep at it. 10/10

Brilliant

WOW is all I can say.

"Pretty Sweet"

Awesome song. Loving it's five minute length, after to listening to alot of your shorter songs it is refreshing to hear a longer song. Sorry, they're great and all, but the shorter songs you guys have just leave me thirsty for more. Even though I know t is often harder to come up with longer songs. Keep it up.

Im trying to get our band's songs on here as well, and Im wondering, what recording materials did you use to record this song. Of course if it is a recording studio there is no way we would be able to record like that. Not exactly famous yet, ya know?

"Decent"

With a name like "Tears after War" I expected it to be slower and smooth sounding, because tears generally usually mean sadness, especially when couppled with the words "after War". This aside, it is still a decent song. While sometimes lacking complexity, it sounds pretty good.

More Or Less is a rock band originating from Maryland. We are currently trying to get some of our various songs on Newgrounds. Though the recording quality may not be spectacular, we hope you will enjoy our songs.
